Small Shop Earns Big Props

By most measures, ElectriCities’ Strategic Communications team is small (just four people make up the internal agency shop). But that didn’t stop the team from getting some big props at the 2013 Addy Awards sponsored by the American Advertising Federation of Raleigh/Durham.

ElectriCities garnered 16 Addy Awards - including a prestigious Judges Choice for its 2013 NC Public Power calendar; three Gold Awards; seven Silver Awards and five Bronze Awards. In addition to the awards for the calendar, several member projects earned awards.

Sites, Camera, Action!

A new video series, which focuses on the starring role our public power communities play in the New South, is now on YouTube. The mini films, shot on location in Kinston and Edenton, feature the re-invention of traditionally Southern customs. Kinston’s video shows its emergence as a culinary center. The Edenton video highlights its heritage and its 300th anniversary celebration. For a front-row view of these videos, check out our YouTube channel.

Wall Gets Overhaul

ElectriCities of NC has a new display honoring its elected leaders. A third-floor wall at our headquarters elegantly showcases the Board of Directors and Chairs who’ve helped lead our organization throughout the decades.
