By most measures, ElectriCities’ Strategic Communications team is small (just four people make up the internal agency shop). But that didn’t stop the team from getting some big props at the 2013 Addy Awards sponsored by the American Advertising Federation of Raleigh/Durham.
ElectriCities garnered 16 Addy Awards - including a prestigious Judges Choice for its 2013 NC Public Power calendar; three Gold Awards; seven Silver Awards and five Bronze Awards. In addition to the awards for the calendar, several member projects earned awards.
Put our award-winning team to work on your next project!
Full of Dates, Full of Date Ideas
The year’s flying by but that doesn’t mean you can’t slow down and spend some quality time with the one you love. Our calendar this year features 12 breathtaking B&Bs — each one located in a Public Power Community. So whether you’re looking for a particular day of the month or a great B&B for a memorable date with that special someone, you’ll find it in our 2013 calendar. For a glimpse, go to electricities.com/2013calendar today. Also, check out our ad in the March issue of Our State magazine.
A new video series, which focuses on the starring role our public power communities play in the New South, is now on YouTube. The mini films, shot on location in Kinston and Edenton, feature the re-invention of traditionally Southern customs. Kinston’s video shows its emergence as a culinary center. The Edenton video highlights its heritage and its 300th anniversary celebration. For a front-row view of these videos, check out our YouTube channel.
Ever wonder how power gets to your home? Or how it’s restored after an outage? You’ll find the answers in our “How Power is Delivered to You?” bill insert. This powerfully informative pamphlet is ready to be delivered to you. To order bill inserts for your community visit the Currents homepage and click the ‘Bill Inserts’ tab.
A Business Roundtable Meeting at ElectriCities will take place on Thursday, April 11. The meeting will include networking and information presented on items important to Key Accounts Managers, Public Information Officers, Communications/Marketing Directors and Economic Developers. All are invited; to register, visit electricities.com and click the ‘View Event Calendar.’
It’s hard to pass up free stuff. Especially when it’s so easy to get! Right now, we’re making room for some new promotional swag so we’re cleaning out our closets. As a result, you can pick up some great items (balloons and NC Public Power chip clips, to be exact) at no cost. As in FREE! To get your free bling, email firstname.lastname@example.org. But hurry! Once these items are gone, they’re gone.
ElectriCities of NC has a new display honoring its elected leaders. A third-floor wall at our headquarters elegantly showcases the Board of Directors and Chairs who’ve helped lead our organization throughout the decades. If you’re in the office, take a trip upstairs to view this freshly designed Wall of Fame. You just might take a trip down memory lane too.
